Question : mail SMTP validation

Hello i need help with either with a php mail SMTP validation so it checks if e-mails are currently active or not. I have a excell sheet with about 4,000 e-mails i want to check against..does anyone have a code to input all 4,000 e-mails to check which ones are valid and which are not without haveing to actually send an e-mail out.

You will never be sure without actually sending the e-mail. Not all mail servers will tell you during the SMTP session if an address is valid or not.
