Question : When seizing FSMO roles to a dead domain controller using ntdsutil.exe, what do I put in for transfer role?
I have a dead Domain Controller that I need to delte. I have gone to Microsoft's site and found the instructions for "Using Ntdsutil.exe to transfer or seize FSMO roles to a domain controller", but when I get to 'transfer role' the ? doesn't explain it enough for me to know which role to put in there. This controller is not my primary controller, it is one at a site. I want to put the FSMO roles from that site on the primary controller, if that's acceptable. The hard drive crashed and so when I get another one I will just create a new domain controller.

Make sure you do a metadata cleanup after the seizing of the FSMO roles.
