We have telecommuters that vpn into our network using microsoft vpn connection. The vpn is created by Watchguard firewall. Telecommuter can connect to vpn, no problem, and connection is always up. But, telecommuter cannot ping to servers (active directory, terminal server, telephony server). Also, when telecommuter (agent) IS able to ping and actually work with applications, after a certain amount of time (varies from 10 minutes to 12 hours) they will get disconnected from their application, NOT the vpn. That always stays up. Then they can't ping any server.
