Question : How to divide an incoming email domain to two different networks.

Here is the setup:

There are two divisions(recent merger) in the company of 50k employees. Of which are two email domains:  companya.com  and companyb.com . The CompanyA domain is running Lotus notes for email. Company B is running Exchange. The VP now wants everyone in the company to have a CompanyA.com email address.

1. We can't convert everyone in the companyB domain to notes.
2. The VP is ok with a simple alias so that  [email protected] => [email protected]

So does anyone make a SMTP gateway that can look at a lookup table and forward the email to the appropriate SMTP server?

Answer : How to divide an incoming email domain to two different networks.

You just add the new domain to your recipient policy and you will receive a prompt asking if you want to apply the change to current users. If you say yes, new addresses for the new domain will be generated for all users, according to your recipient policy. You will still have the other domain in your recipient policy so yes, users will have one addresses for each domain.
