Question : Can Cisco Unity Express use hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007 for Unified Messaging
I currently have CME/CUE configured on a Cisco 2811 Router. We are decommissioning our exchange server and going to a hosted Exchange for email. Will CUE work with hosted exchange? I still want all users to get their voicemails in their outlook. From the CLI in unity express, can I just specify the IP of the hosted exchange server, like below? If I can't do it via public address can I do via site-to-stie VPN? Thanks
e-10-0-0-0#(config)# smtp server address public IP address authentication none
Answer : Can Cisco Unity Express use hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007 for Unified Messaging
I am not familiar with this feature of CME/CUE but if all what the email integration is doing is pointing to the ip address of the CUE I don't see any problem with having an external exchange server
