Question : Event Viewer DNS Server keeps generating Event ID 5504

We have 2 Windows 2003 Servers.  One if the PDC and the other the BDC.  They are both running SP2.  Our DNS Event Viewer keeps filling up with the same entry over and over again.  The message type is not anerror or warning.  It is listed as Information and states the following:

"The DNS Server encountered an invalid domain name in a packet from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.  The packet will be rejected."

The IP address listed in this log is one of our backup DNS servers which is in the forwarders section on our dns servers.  The IP is correct and is a valid IP DNS server.  Does anyone know how we can prevent these dns messages from being generted every 30 seconds.

Thank you

A lot of companies have it set up so that unless you are using their network they wont allow anyone on a subnet not theirs to use their DNS.

Why not use some open DNS servers as your backup instead of the comcast ones?
