Question : Problem w/Domain name never updating

Is it possible for a domain to get "stuck" and never update?
 I have a domain name, mydomain.com, that used to be hosted on arishost.com. I was using arishost for my hosting as well as using their name servers to point to the domain name.  About a month or so ago I installed apache on my Win2k server at my house which has a static IP. I configured Apache to host the domain, as well as 4 other domain names, all using the same IP. All of that works fine as I can access any of those sites from anywhere on the internet. I have one domain though out of the 5 that never seems to get updated correctly.
What I mean is, it will resolve from anywhere when I type in www.mydomain.com but not mydomain.com. I have setup the CNAME on Windows DNS so that www.mydomain.com points to mydomain.com and have also tried it vice versa.
The problem is always that mydomain.com resolves to my old ip address with arishost and www.mydomain.com resolves to mydomain.com like it should. The account at arishost has been closed. Doing a whois at netsol.com shows that my domain name points to the name servers that I have specified with my current registrar. All of my domain names are setup exactly the same, all the others work exactly like they should. It just seems like this one domain name is "stuck" and never gets updated somewhere like it should.
 I'm at my wits end with this domain name, has anyone ever heard of such a thing or can maybe shed some light on it?
