Question : Connecting Playstation 2 (PS2) to Internet via USB Wireless and Cable Modem

I have a cable modem connected to a Linksys wireless router.  I can connect my laptop to my home network and the Internet via a USB wireless card (or PCI wireless card).  Now I am trying to do the same with my Playstation 2 (PS2).  Is this possible?  I plused the wireless card into the Playstation 2 but it doesn't recognize it and I don't know how to set it up.  I put in a game that supports network play (007 Everything or Nothing) and it doesn't provide the "Online" menu at the main menu that it says it should (I'm assuming because the game has determined that I'm not connected to the Internet).

I have not played with playstation2 but It is my understanding you can accomplish connecting it online using this Network adapter
