Question : DNS internal (where's it get external IPs?)

Windows 2003, AD integrated DNS. My internal DNS is working fine. Actually I think all external things are resolving just fine too. Question is, where should I have something set to query external DNS servers in case my internal servers don't know where a name goes? Surely I have to reference my external DNS servers sometimes... yet I see that set nowhere.

Answer : DNS internal (where's it get external IPs?)

That's done through forwarding within DNS management on the server...it, by default, queries the root servers only. If you right click on your server within DNS management and go to the forwarders tab you can enter your public DNS servers in there to improve resolution times.
