In my opinion, you should separate administrator from the user who can only monitoring production. This can be done by assigning a different role.
For JRockit and Sun JRE, It depends on what your application is. If your application is performance critical, so you can try JRockit because BEA proved that JRockit is faster. Basically, you can switch between JRockit and Sun JRE by changing JAVA_HOME option in startup script. So you can choose any and try another at load testing.
