Question : windows 7 on microsoft virtual pc, The protocol http does not have a registered program

I have a demo version of windows 7 which I have tried to install in microsoft virtual machine. I cannot seem to connect to the internet and actually I don't even know where to find IE. But I went to start and did a search for internet and one of the results is MSN and so I clicked that and I get the message
"Unable to open this internet shortcut, The protocol http does not have a registered program".

Can anyone solve this?
Thank you.

It sounds like that version you are using doesn't have Internet Explorer installed, and you will need to add it.

You will probably be able to do this by going to Windows Update from the control panel, searching for Internet Explorer, and installing it from there.
