Question : Need to set Max Password Length in Win2K environment

I have used policies to set minimum password lengths in our Windows 2000 (native mode) network, but I have never been asked, until today, if we can set a MAXIMUM password length in Windows 2000.

This whould be easy for many of you.  I believe that the reasoning is that we have a mainframe that is limited to 8 characters and my boss wants to limit the network to 8 characters max so that it encourages people to use the same max password length so that our password sync software works better.

Thanks!
