Question : DNS server problem server 2003 ent edition xp prof clients domain

Hello there
I have windows server 2003 ent edition domain with XP prof machines. When I ran netdiad /fix I got
dns test.............failed
[FATAL] Failed to fix: DC DNS entry _ldap._tcp.mydomain.com. re-registeration on
DNS server '10.10.10.120' failed.
Here it is worth to note that mydomain.com is my older domain name which I am not using anymore, How can I securely fix my DNS server so that it does not try to re register my old domain name. Also I am unable to browse my network places because of this issue.
