Question : what are the best books / labs / equipment to achieve CCNA

Hi all
I've decided to self-study for a CCNA and i was wondering what the best books / resources  are.
I already have Boson Sim and i was wondering if that was enough of if i should look to get some old routers
Any advice would be most appreciated

I tried Boson and Packet Tracer when I was helping a friend earn his CCNA. I have to say I wasn't really impressed with Boson's product and the labs weren't that great either. Packet Tracer on the otherhand works quite well, my only complaints are that it has annoying sounds by default and it doesn't have my favorite "do" command.
