Question : Issues with Polycom VSX 7000a

We recently setup a Polycom VSX 7000a in a new office, but we are having an issue trying to get it to connect to the outside world. Here is how we have it set up:

Network cable from the cable modem to a EVXS55W 5-port switch (Uplink Port).
Network cable from 5-port switch (Port 1) to Polycom system and network cable from port 2 to a Sonicwall Pro 3060.

We have ordered two static IP's from the cable service provider, and the Sonicwall is set to one of those IP's and then we had set the Polycom to the second IP.

After trying to troubleshoot this for a while now, we have changed every setting in the polycom back to the original settings, and also gone through and changed it from using Manual IP address to a DHCP address, but no matter what settings we use, we can not get the Polycom system to make an outgoing call to another Polycom system in a seperate office.

We have verified all connections, verified the cables work, and everything else that we could think of, but Polycom tech support - they want to charge too much $$$. Any ideas on how we could troubleshoot or ideas on what may be the cause?

Answer : Issues with Polycom VSX 7000a

We finally ended up contacting Polycom, and paying for their support. We eventually had to do a memory flash and install an updated version of the software (from 8.0.3 to 8.5.3). There were issues with the memory and some of the settings were blocking any outgoing data.
