Question : Setting Up Dynamic VLAN Assignment With SBR and Cisco WLC

I'm trying to configure dynamic vlan assignment using a cisco WLC 4400 and Steel-Belted Radius. The radius is authenticating just fine, its just not dynamically assigning the vlans. It always drops the users in the default vlan for that WLAN.

I've check "Allow AAA Override" in my WLAN profile. I have all the dynamic lan interfaces setup with their correct VLAN Identifiers.

Under SBR, I created a profile with the following return attributes and applied it to a test user:

Tunnel-Type = VLAN
Tunnel-Medium-Type = 802
Tunnel-Private-Group-ID =

I used the following as a guided, only problem is that they used cisco ACS and i'm using SBR.

Answer : Setting Up Dynamic VLAN Assignment With SBR and Cisco WLC

I figured out the problem.

I had to add a custom filter to allow the passing of the 3 attributes .

Under Filters, make a new filter and add the following 3 attributes with a "Rule Type" of "Allow" under the "exclude" section. Leave the value fields empty.

Tunnel-Type
Tunnel-Medium-Type
Tunnel-Private-Group-ID

Once you have the filter created, apply it to the response filters tab for whatever EAP method you use to authenticate.
