Question : Disable auto printer creation through group policy?

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to disable
"automatically search for network folders and printers"
feature which is in the folder option of windows XP from the group policy.
Currently, the printers published from a windows 2003 server are
automatically added to all the users, and I really would like to stop this...

Thank you very much in advance.

Answer : Disable auto printer creation through group policy?

Open up your Default Domain policy [Start --> Administrative Tools --> Active Directory Users and Computers].

Right-click yourdomainname.whatever --> Properties --> Click Group Policy tab --> Select Default Domain Policy --> click Edit Button.

Expand Computer Configuration --> Administrative Templates --> Printers.

Disable 'Automatically publish new printers in Active Directory'.

Have a nice day!
