Question : Six strand fiber to CAT5/CAT6 crossover cable

We are in the process of addin on an additional office space about 1000ft from our data room.  We were going to connect the two locations via a 6 strand fiber cable.  Question is, ti get the cable into my switch, is there and adapter for fiber to CAT5/CAT6?  Or do I need a speical type of switch?

You can either buy a media converter for each end that converts fiber to RJ45, or you can find 2 switches that have a fiber port built-in.  There are many to choose from.
