Question : security report generated says ssl version 2 is not secure and soultion is to disable it

we have a few servers in our DMZ and are working fine. some are windows 2003 servers used as web and ftp servers and some runnign linux. recently a company did a security analysis and suggested that sslv2 is not secure and we need to disable it as a solution to tide over the security issue.  what needs to be done to make our servers ssl v3 as they suggest we follow a microsoft article 187498 to disable ssl v2. need some advice frim the experts id this is actually required and secondly how to do it and the effect on the usage as the servers are in production

As far as I know the only way to do it is to modify the registery.
You can export (save a section) of the registry to a file so you have a little backup if it goes wrong.
Just be very careful and double check you are int he right place inside the registry.
Its not as hard or as dangerous as you are lead to believe.
