Question : How to Set up a Remote FTP Server

Hi,

I want to set up a QNAP NAS Box as a remote FTP Server for me to log on to upload images and files too.

I am using a standard ADSL Line, I was just going to forward FTP Ports to the NAS box but i feel that would not be very secure,

What is the best way to do this while still maintaining a high level of security???

Also, it looks like most of the QNAP products support FTP over SSL/TLS and HTTPS...

You would need to verify with the vendor that your product supports those protocols.

As for the highest of the high security, IPSec VPN would probably be the strongest encryption, but I am not a security guru, so maybe another expert will give their opinion.
