Question : Public folder replication is not commencing between Exchange 2003 servers
Yesterday i installed a 2nd exchange in the same domain. I tried to replicate the public folders and system folders (aproxx 30Mb) but no go. Used messages tracking and found out that messages from Server A (old) to Server B (new) get stuck on "SMTP:Messages submitted to Categorizer" + lacking the eventid 3028 in the log of Server B thells me that replication messages are not being deliverd at Server B. Messages from Server B to Server A are delivered (3028 messages in the logbook) I already checked the smarthost thing (both clear). Used telnet to EHLO from Server a to Server B and the other way around, and it looks good to me (see below). Also I used ADSI edit to see if the proxyadress and mail are correct and the are. I do see on Server B multiple servername-IS adresses, but the correspond with the various domains i'am hosting on Exchange. On the old server A there are 3 entries, inlcuding a .local, and on the new server B I see 4 entries, but there is no .local one. Both contain a X400 entrie.
I look forward to a answer.
Regards,
Mark.

Answer : Public folder replication is not commencing between Exchange 2003 servers
First, do you have a smarthost listed on the Default SMTP Server on the original server?
Second, do you have anti-virus installed on the original server?
