I have my website and e-mail hosted by Brinkster, and they recently changed their e-mail system to Zimbra. Since then, and when I try to use a bulk e-mail app to send newsletters to my registered users (either Mailthem Pro or Mach5), the server returns the following:
transmission failed: 504 : HELO command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname (QBIT beeing the name of my machine, running W2K);
I send the e-mails via SMTP using one of my accounts. The connection test returns "OK" but when I send the messages I get the error. Apart from the technical explanation, I'm looking for a solution, even if it means using a different approach (new application or whatsoever).
