Question : TCPIP Subnetting
I understand that an IP address like 10.0.1.0 would not be a legal address with a /24 bit mask. Lets say that I have a network that is 10.0.0.0 /23, I should be able to use 10.0.1.0 with this mask. Is that correct? I am using this IP with the .254 subnet mask but am not able to scan that IP with Angry IP Scanner. Is this a bug in the scanner or is this not RFC compliant?
Answer : TCPIP Subnetting
This would actually qualify as a class A subnetted as a Class B
