Question : Unable to reach Tomcat management interface via browser

I am unable to reach the Apache Tomcat Manager Web Application through my Internet browser.  The URL for the manager application is:  http://localhost /manager/html.  When attempting to access the page a prompt appears to login.  When the credentials are entered nothing happens.  The credentials used are associated with the manager role and are contained in the folder $CATALINA_HOME\conf\tomcat-users.xml.

The manager application is run through an IIS web application pool so I insert that into the URL where the localhost is specified.\

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok. Below is a screenshot of what mine looks like. I really dont understand why yours is like that. The only reason I can think of is that your tomcat was not installed correctly. Maybe some of the more experienced experts can confirm my suspicion. If you have time, try and install the latest tomcat (6.xx) correctly.
