Question : IE8 issues - Internet Explorer cannot display webpage
I have a PC that was updated to IE8, user had issues going to the Internet, so she did a system restore the the previous week. When I opened IE it says version 6, and in the Add and Remove programs, it says IE8. So I unistalled IE8, after the reboot, I check to see what version and it says 7. Still could not connect to Internet, Page Cannot be Displayed. Installed IE8 and it's still saying the same thing. I've reset all Internet options, no proxy server, no spyware, no security software, ipconfig /all shows correct DNS, I flushed the DNS, reset winsock. I can ping servers' IP but not server names, nslookup shows non-authoritive answer, I check the host file, nothing there. Any other suggestions?
