Question : Connect 2 Domains

I have 2 Domains in diffrent Locations. Lets call them Domain1.MyDomain.com and Domain2.MyDomain.com. I would like to connect them Together so If a user from Domain1 came to Domain2 He could Login with his username/password from Domain1's Active Directory and get his files and be authenicated.
I Have a VPN Setup Bettween The to Domains
Both Domain Controllers are Windows Server 2003
How would I go about setting this up. Is there big Security Risks that might pervent me from wanting to do this?
