Question : OSI layer

Hi, i have network OSI layer question. Someone have told me that Switch is for Layer 2, while other one said switch is layer 4. I want to make sure which is right before i go for my ccna exam. Thanks.

Switch is definitely Layer 2. No doubt about that and your exam will give the points for this answer.
Probably what the other person said could be in relevancy to the products that are available;
Layer 2 switch :: Just any normal switch
Layer 3 Switch : Like a Cisco 6500, Means a Switch that has inbuilt routing functionality to it and so are Layer 4 which can control layer 4 protocol details.
