Question : Accessing wamp server (www folder) from internrt through router

Can some one please give me advice on this!

Hi I am running a web site on a wamp server and can't access it from out side my local network. I think I have to do something with the virtual servers setting on my belkin wireless router. it asks me for external port start, external port end, protocol, internal port start, internal port end, server IP address and server name. I have been reading some pages on the web but all seams confusing and have tried a few thing that don’t work how do I set this up and what is the address to access my www folder of wamp? I keep getting told conflicting information about using the WAN IP here and the router IP there and :: in the address to select the port but I cant get it working no matter what I try.

Please help!
Thank you for any help and advice you can give me.
Karl

Answer : Accessing wamp server (www folder) from internrt through router

Here is what you'll need to get up and running:

external port start: 80
external port end: 80
internal port start: 80
internal port end: 80

Protocol:
TCP

Server IP address: LAN IP of the computer hosting.

ex:
If i'm hosting my server on 192.168.1.2 then i would have to place 192.168.1.2 in this field.
(make sure to enable traffic out of port 80 if you have a firewall)

Now as far as going into port masking...etc....that is another question altogether.

*grin*
