Question : how can I manually set a fix IP address
how can I manually set (if possible with windows xp) a fix IP address for a host in my private network when the dhcp server of my router does not allow this feature?
Note: My router is a linksys model: WAG54GS

If you want to set an IP address manually on a PC then
Go to control panel
Select Network Connection
On the network connecton right click and select properties
select TCP/IP and select properties
Enter the IP address and press OK
