Ok, back to buissnes.
Do you have a program called mapgen.com at your server?
This is the preferable way (by my means) to edit a bootimage.
It is not sure that you have that program on your server, since that is a program that TriRom (and maybe other vendors) ship with their bootproms.

The program works very simple, it simulates the A: drive.
Simply type "mapgen a: net$dos.sys" without "" at the prompt (you might need to start you machine i Dos Only mode and copy the mapgen.com and bootimage to you local disk, since this is an old software, and Windows doesnt like it)

When you have started the program you can copy files and edit startupfiles just as if it was on a diskette.
The A: drive is then the bootimage (you dont need a diskette in driev A:!)
When you are finnished just type EXIT and you will be prompted if you want to save.
Always play with a copy of you bootimage, so you dont crash a working file.
