Question : Documents and Settings Transfer wizard for domain network users

I need to transfer a users documents and settings from one PC to another as they have upgraded.  Different users log onto the pc's however.  Can  i use the documents and settings transfer wizard in XP to do this transfer for a single user and how do i ensure i get the correct documents and settings across to the correct user profile on the new pc.

documents and settings wizard will get the documents and settings for the current profile.  so, log into the profile you want to transfer and run the wizard from there.

however, there are some things that will need to be reconfigured.  for example, the documents and settings transfer wizard does not collect an Outlook pst file, nor does it collect the configuration from Outlook.  this is true for other settings that are program specific.  the wizard collects XP settings, and not specific program settings.  moreover, it collects files from My Documents, but there may be other files you need to copy to the new computer... such as Outlook pst.
