Question : mapped drives on different workgroup prompt for password after reboot

I have a windows 2000 pro workstation used to backup files/folders on two different win2k3 servers
wink2kpro is on different domain- win2k3 servers are in same workgroup (no domain)
I have created mapped drives to the shares on the servers and all thast is working well
EXCEPT
when win2kpro wks reboots - it stops at a prompt for the password to connect to the share
when I created the mappings I used "log on as a different user" and used the right machine/user to connect
but it still prompts at each reboot
any way around this?

    net use R: \\server\share password /USER:userid

just do:

     net help use
