Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Premium. Server Performance Report periodically reports - NIC Agents Event ID 1285 Last Occurance 23/02/2006 2:21 AM Total Occurances = 10 *
NIC Agent: Connectivity has been lost for the NIC in slot 1, port 1. [SNMP TRAP: 18006 in CPQNIC.MIB]  
 
I have searched Microsoft Knowledge base but no success. Any suggestions on resolution to this issue. With thanks

2 things spring to mind

I'd try setting the duplex on the nic manually - it could be an autonegotiation problem.

I'd also try moving it to another port on the switch - could be a flaky switch port (or even a flaky switch).
