Question : Windows 2003 w Browser Problems

Hi All,

HP DL380 G2 Server
Windows 2003 R2 w SP2
2 on-board disabled net cards (HP NC3163), 1 PCI active net card (HP NC7131)
The server has static IP with static DNS and WINS
NetBIOS over TCP/IP enable.
DNS Server Allow dynamic updates
Domain with 50 computers the problem is only with this specific server.
The problems with browser:
1) when I try to add the server to domain I can do it only with DNS suffix (domain.com) and not with NetBIOS name (DOMAIN_NAME). Get error when try to that with NetBIOS name:
"DNS name does not exit (error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.giza-domain)
2) Check in the DNS server - The DNS SRV records required to locate a domain controller for the domain are registered in DNS.
3) No child zone, therefore no need to include delegation to child zone.
4) After I added the server to the domain with DNS suffix I can ping all DCs and workstations with no problems (IP address, NetBIOS name, DNS suffix names). I also can open share folders with no problems- \\SERVER_NAME\SHARE_FOLDER
5) When I try to access My Network Places-Entire Network-DOMAIN I got this error: Domain_Name" is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the Administrator of this server to find
out if you have access permissions.
i can see this server in My Network Places from all the other server and computers
6) When use net view command I got this error: "System error 6118 has occurred. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently avaliable."
7) When use Browstat STATUS I got:
Status for domain DOMAIN_NAME on transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{824C368B-CFF3-4879-8C1F-DDA1E1646EBF}
Browsing is NOT active on domain. Status : 6118
Master browser name is held by: THE RIGHT MASTER BROWSER
Master browser is running build 2195
8) When I run netdiag I passed all test except:
DC list test . . . . . . . . . . . : Failed
Failed to enumerate DCs by using the browser. [ERROR_NO_BROWSER_SERVERS_
FOUND]
9) In the registry:  IsDomainMaster=FALSE, MaintainServer=Yes
10) Windows FW (ICS) = DISABLE
11) No Antivirus programs installed.
12) All the relevant services (computer browser, Workstation) started and configure to automatic startup.
13) When try to Restart "Workstation" service got error: "Could not load Rdbss device driver"
i need to restart the server.
14) I tried to change the net card and put the new one in new slot  still have the problems.

Maybe I need to change something in the registry?

Answer : Windows 2003 w Browser Problems

Make sure you delete any accounts for that server in active directory users and computers.
