Question : the trust relationhip between workstation and prime domain failed

   I tried to log in on a new computer running 2000 premium. The response was no account for this user on this domain. So I tried to add this user account to the domain. The error 'the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain has failed ' came up.
I can also log on to the network later by logging on as administrator, clicking entire network then putting my details in. HELP!

Here is what you do to fix your problem:

1) On the 2000 pro station, remove it from the domain by putting it into a workgroup.  Reboot.

2) On your 2000 server, find the computer object in AD users and computers, right click it, and choose "reset account"

3) Add the workstation to the domain again in network id properties.
