Question : WIRELESS SURVEY TOOL

Hi, Can some one tell me what tool to use (if it is posible freeware) to troubleshoot wireless devices in our network, we want a detail report of microwave ovens, access point´s, wireless phones, that can be degradating our wireless network.

The Cognio and Airmagnet hand-held analyzers are essential the same product. Just re-badged versions. However, you are talking about $3000 - $4000 products. From your original post, it sounded like you wanted something cheap, which is why I recommended you pursue the Wispy device which is only $99. Airmagnet also sells the Laptop Analyzer which let you run their software with a supported card for about $2500. It does everything just short of full spectrum analysis.

If you have the budget go for the Cognio or Airmagnet products. Otherwise the Wispy may be a good place to start.
