Question : Remote Desktop through the Internet
Hi,
I want to set up a PC that i can remote desktop into but i want to do it over the internet. I am basically just wondering what ports do i need to forward on the router to the PC to make this work. I also want to be able to use the router for the internet on other PC's etc so can't use port 80 (I think).
Any ideas?????
Answer : Remote Desktop through the Internet
You need to forward port 3389 onto the IP address of the computer you want to control. Then when you use the RDP client you will need to type the IP address of the internet side of the router to access the computer.
