Question : Can Firefox use an IE configuration script?

Is it possible to have Firefox use an IE configuration script?

The corporation I work for configures IE proxies by means of a configuration scipt.  IE is configured to "use [an] automatic configuration script"; the script location is http://TheServername:portnumber/proxyfilename.pac.

I know that I can configure Fx to use the same proxy, as defined in the configuration file; but the proxy sometimes changes, and it would be helpful if Fx new how to read the .pac directly.

Is this possible, and (if so), how do I do it?

sure is i did it this morning

tools options and connection settings

select automatic proxy configuration tick box

then enter your address
