Question : wireless networking problem "limited of no connectivity"
|
|
I have two computers running Windows XP with SP2. Both computers are virus trojon parasite etc. free. Both computers have wireless cards and connect through a Linksys WAG54G modem/router which has the latest firmware.
One computer connects effortlessly to the wireless network
The other computer detects the network and connects (signal strength excellent) but the status allways reads "limited or no connectivity".
ipconfig /renew takes ages (upto 60 seconds) and shows the following: "an error occurred while renewing interfact Wirelss Network connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request timed out"
how can i sort this out? Answers in non technical plain English please (!)
Thanks
