Question : 192.168.0.1 Port Forwarding. Port forwarding when connected to the internet through another computer.

I connect through the internet through my brothers computer then he connects to the internet through the wireless router.
I need to open up the ports for my bittorrent client, however i am having huge difficulty.

My default gateway is 192.168.0.1
My local IP is 192.168.0.118
My brothers Local IP is 192.168.1.101
The router Local IP is 192.168.1.1

How do i open the port 6882 on my computer so i can use my bittorent client.
Thankyou,
Mr Maybury

Answer : 192.168.0.1 Port Forwarding. Port forwarding when connected to the internet through another computer.

The ICS configuration utility (at the PracticallyNetworked site) might not work for newer versions of ICS.

If your brother's computer is running XP, try the utility that can be downloaded in this article.  The utility uses UPnP: "Using UPnP for Programmatic Port Forwardings and NAT Traversal" http://www.codeproject.com/internet/PortForward.asp
