Question : Block (Azureus & bitcomet) From your network

i have Network contain 100 pc  and 1 server installed windows server 2003 and isa server 2004 and softperfect bandwidth manager,

my proplem:
the users in my network using (Azureus & bitcomet)
and make download files all the day and this take all the bandwidth and make the internet connection too slow

i'm tryed the signature header in isa server, but it's didn't block anything
i need any effective solution or software make me block user from using (Azureus & bitcomet)

Well, there is this, but it is a client based solution:

And it doesn't appear to handle Azureus.

Another client side (hidden) application:  http://www.warrensoftware.co.uk/  Blocks all you mentioned.

You could also block INCOMING 6881 which will block Az INCOMING requests.  That won't stop the outbound requests, though.. unless you block all outbound traffic except what you absolutely need.  Which you could do.

You could also create a login script or group policy that removes those programs at each login, and then a policy that doesn't allow the user to install anything.

Personally, I would  examine the machines of the users using it, and verify that they aren't downloading porn, movies, games or anything else that is copyrighted.  If they are, then you need to bring it to the attention of their supervisors as it is a SERIOUS legal liability for your company.  In the end, the machines belong to the company, not the users.  If you don't have a computer use policy, then it is time to start considering one, or you'll have this headache forever...  not to mention the possibilities of viruses and spyware that come along with it...
