When entering a IP/Host combo into the HOSTS file, which entry format is correct, the FQDN or the host name?
Is this correct?
10.20.2.1 server1.local
Or, is this correct?
10.20.2.1 server1
Answer : HOSTS File - FQDN or simply host name?
both can be don, to make it clear for your self use the full FQDN but it would work fine without
