Question : Duplicate Name Exists on Network when Logging into Domain.

I am getting a duplicate name exisits error when trying to log into a domain.  I checked the domain controller and there is no duplicate name.  I have researched this quite a bit on the internet and the solution offered is to change the computer name, but this has been unsuccessful.  Also, there is not another computer on the network which has the same name.  I cleaned the registry and removed all of the network clients, protocols and services and reinstalled.  To no avail the only solution is to wipe windows and start over.  This worked on another computer.  Any help in determining where in windows or the registry the error is created would be a great help.
