Question : How do you change User for old network

I once worked in an office were I was tied into a network now that I am not longer there I would like to change the user so I can keep my files and applications without any issues or my computer trying to do a backup all the time also looking for network. Everything on my computer is mine all applications all I was connected for was to get access to the internet and when I designed cards, flyers...I would save them to a folder on the network. Is this possible? Windows XP sp2 - Windows Server
Thanks

Answer : How do you change User for old network

If you log in as the local administrator you have access to that folder.  It is located at
C:\documents and settings\username

However at this point since I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do and don't want you to mess up your system by following my instructions, I am going to recomend you take your computer somewhere explain what you want to do and pay them to do it for you.  This way you have minimal risk of loosing things.
