Question : How do I define Cisco 7940 phone ring type on second lines
Hopefully this is possible and something really simple. We are running Cisco Call Manager 4.0 and have mostly 7940 phones. On phones with more than one line appearence. How do you choose the non default lines to use one of the 25 ring types available? For example. On the default line, when you go into settings and select ring type, only the default line gives you a list of the 25 ring type choices. When you select a second (or third line) it just gives you a choice of Ring1, Ring 2, Ring 3, etc. I want to be able to put a custom ring (one of the 25) on a line other than the default line.
Thanks!

I was able to get around this by just overwriting Ring 7 with my custom ring I made. Would have rather been able to see all the choices for every line but this is workable.
