Question : IIS 6.0 certificate wizard is not installing my certificate
When I try to install my newest certificate, as my current one is about to run out, the one I have been sent by my companies ISP, I receive the following error:
"The pending certificate request for this response file was not found. This request may be cancelled. You cannot install selected response certificate using this Wizard"
I don't get why it wont install. I am using the wizard in IIS 6.0 to install the certificate. Also when I double click on the new .cer file, usually it will bring up the properties of the file, but when I double click on my new one I get a text box titled: Invalid Public Key Security Object File. Then the information message in the box reads: This file is invalid for use as the following: Security Certificate.
Why is my new certificate not being picked up as a recognized .cer file?
Answer : IIS 6.0 certificate wizard is not installing my certificate
You could try installing the certificate somewhere else, maybe to your personal certificate store through the Certificates mmc console. This would tell you if it is a valid certificate. How was the cert sent to you? You could try re-downloading it.
