Question : multiple ethernet links with one Lynksys hub

My brother has a Lynksys hub that is connecting his computer to the internet through broadband, and I was wondering how I could use this to get inernet in my room, without it going through my brother's computer.

If it's a broadband router, no problems, just plug into it.  If it's a hub only, you can't.  You would need to replace it with a router.
