Question : How to set up a subnet

Can someone help me set up a subnet.

I would like to put all our servers on 1 subnet and the clients on another.

We currenly use ip 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254  
                            255.255.255.0

we have a dlink router

What equipment would i need to have 2 separate subnets that I can have the servers on one with the router and then have the client computers on another where they can still access our servers, internet ect....

How would I set that up and how would I determine the ip addressing etc..

or if someone could direct me to some reading material that would be great
