Question : Cisco IPT long distance calls show on AT&T bill as our call manager number; need extensions to show

I need the AT&T long distance call detail of my Cisco IPT system to show the number that dialed outbound, and I know there's something I can do to NOT make it show the generic phone number (241-6000).

In other words, I want my extension (241-6063), as well as others, to show on the bill, and AT&T depends on a setting in my system somewhere to show the fact that I made a call for four minutes. For now, all calls from all extensions show as 241-6000.

Are there directions that can be provided here, or a Cisco guide somewhere, that tells me how to do this?

Answer : Cisco IPT long distance calls show on AT&T bill as our call manager number; need extensions to show

A couple things has to happen.  On the GW Configuration in the Caller ID DN field enter:  241XXXX.  This will send all caller ID calls out as 241-XXXX (whatever you desk extension is - if it is 4 digits).  If you also need the area code, then that will go before the 241.  You will also need to contact your carrier to make sure they can support the caller ID going out that way.  Depending on how it was set up, carriers will overwrite whatever you are sending them & put the main number as the caller id.  You need to inform them you want to send out the individual extensions if they can support it.
