Question : DNS Troubles...

I am running WIndows Server 2003 Standard and my DHCP appears to be working correctly as does my DNS - sort of.  I am having an issue where my network PC's can obtain the correct IP addresses from the server and they can access the Internet.  I've created my Pointer record under my DNS Reverse Zone so that the IP of the server can be resolved back to the name of the server but something is amiss.  I can't surf internally through an Explorer window (Windows or IE) to access shared resources (folders) on the server.  What's crazy is that an nslookup on the network PC's allows me to resolve the name of the server to its internal address, and i can resolve FQDN's on the Internet to their respective IP addresses.  All my network maps are not connecting though.  I've attempted to create new maps and have been unable to do so because i receive errors that the "Network cannot be found".  Any ideas out there?  Help!  It's late!  I'm tired!

Answer : DNS Troubles...

I had to restore the system state from an old, old, old, old backup tape.  This corrected the DNS issue and I was able to move on. Thanks for the suggestions.  ALthough ultimately nothing that was suggested proved to be the solution, I appreciate the support!
